Miranda App/Website Interface

Miranda was created in collaboration with my classmate, Zach Bard. The app and website were largely inspired by the Black Lives Matter protests around the country in response to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Elijah McClain. Miranda can be very useful to peaceful protestors, but also to the general public in all interactions with police to help them know their rights, local laws, and police activity in their area to be aware of. The app features an SOS button which can be voice or touch activated to send a message to your emergency contact that you may be arrested, and a quick access camera to record police interactions if doing so is legal in your state. The app and website both include information tiles with police and law related facts in a short, easy to digest format, along with a forum for the community to post and comment in. We also created some fun merch on the website!
